TIP TO WHEN DECLUTTERING OVER A LONG TIME!

Hi guys,

Just a quickie. Too funny not to!

Tip - when moving or storing your household goods etc, it is advisable to attach all components together so items do not go in differing directions and get lost in the pile.

Here is why...

Have decided that I am getting my marathon decluttering sliced up into 3 phases. Well, that is the current plan. Now, this means I am close to Phase 2 of 3 phases of decluttering almost coming to a end. As I go through each box at a time I find things that I have had and still like enough to put to good use.

Recent find were these lovely fairy lights blossom tree style for the outdoors that was solar charged. Perfect. Or so I thought. I have had this for some years and it was only as I was assembling it I realised I was missing the plate stand. It took me a while to remember I had in the subsequent interim years threw something out in the last hard rubbish that I thought had no use only a month ago. Oh no!

Normally the moral of the story would be, when in doubt don’t throw it out. Never fear friends, I will still keep on decluttering, throw out, give away or sell, and only keep what I need or like.

In the past this would upset me. Now on the odd occasion this does has happen, instead of crying, I just crack up laughing and call it natural selection.

In the meantime, one of my metal outdoor seats will act as the stand for now and will do till I can sort it out.

Still works.

Still looks lovely at nighttime.

KNOCK KNOCK #2

Hi Guys,

Over the last 2 plus years when Covid 19 hit us all like a brick wall, here in Melbourne, Australia we have had a few lockdowns, the second lasting 4 months in fact. I still managed to motivate myself to work through the clutter regardless.

However, I was slowed down considerably by not being able to take the donation items to the charity stores as they were closed. Everything was closed.

I could not sell through my usual avenues, those few items worthwhile selling, due again to no one was allowed out and limitations of reasons to visit or why you had to leave home. Due to this I almost went spare as I saw no one, except for my Doctor. I had no pet. So totally on my own. I now have Garfield the cat, my son's pusscat, due to him moving to another state. Garf has been the best companion and wished I had him come earlier. I

I wasn't really motivated in writing any blog entries at that time. I just concentrated on keeping as regular a day as possible and not slacken off from the progress inside the home front. Over that time, there have been times one cannot get what they wanted or needed and now more expensive, not withstanding crappy politicians and local to federal elections to add into the mix. All part of the tapestry of life. What I did on the odd occasion though was to set aside a meme or few that spoke to me at the that time, could relate to, or found amusing enough to have a laugh. My one way of coping and thinking of my blog, with the intention to share them one day in the future. I wonder if you will relate to my particular part of our collective roller coaster ride of 2020, 2021 and first half of 2022. Here are just some of what I saved. In no particular order:-

Ciao for now,
Anita

Remember to just take it at your pace and you will get there in the end and along the way things will improve and before you realise it the job will be done.
